Virgo TV — Meeting Brief
Mike Johnson · Monday, April 13, 2026 · 10:00am + 1:30pm
⚡ May 12 Deadline 30 Days to Launch June Live Event
Phase 1 Hard Deadline
May 12
Entity registered, trademark filed, payment processor prepped, app stores submitted
Phase 2 — Surge Moment
June
Rod Wave unplugged + album announcement. Platform must have traction before this hits.
Infra Starting Cost
$5–7.5K
Per month — AWS + Cloudflare. Auto-scales for pay-per-view spikes with no manual work.
Virgo TV is a network — not a Rod Wave fan club. Rod wants to be an exclusive partner on the platform, not the identity of it. Quote: "I don't want it to look like a Rod Wave thing. I just want Rod Wave to do something exclusively with Virgo TV to draw."
Content structure Rod described
Live TV — Demographic channels running 24/7. An MTV lane (vlogs, tour content, Cam's vlog series), Comedy Central lane (original shows), BET lane (licensed movies + shows like Baddies), sports/docs lane.

On Demand — Netflix-style. Genre columns. Shows drop on schedule. Back-episodes always available. Current label "Programs" → rename to On Demand.

Streaming — Twitch-style. Live streamers with their own approved channels.

Search — Global search across all content.

Launch anchor: Rod Wave unplugged (June) — exclusive to Virgo TV. Frames it as "Rod did a big deal with Virgo TV," not his platform. Netflix/Jake Paul boxing model.
Content Rod is already pursuing
Baddies (Zeus Network having issues — acquisition target) · Josh's show (same situation) · Carl Jones (Boondocks writer) for 2 seasons / 8 episodes original animated content · 6–7 shows + podcasts total targeted before June. Rod is playing the role of content scout until a director is hired.
The infrastructure is essentially done. This is a frontend redesign + cloud deployment — not a rebuild from scratch. The backend already supports everything Rod described.
Live streaming (multi-channel) On-demand library (Jellyfin) Linear TV / 24-7 channels (ErsatzTV) Tiered subscriptions + Stripe Auth + SSO Real-time chat (Socket.io) Admin content portal YouTube archiver pipeline PWA (direct download app) 8 branded email templates Caddy reverse proxy + HTTPS
What needs to change: UI/UX redesign for the network vision — 4-pillar top navigation (Live TV / On Demand / Streaming / Search). On-demand section into Netflix-style genre columns. Live TV channels organized by demographic lane. Rod also specifically called out needing a UX designer for this. It's frontend work only — backend handles all of it already.
1
Register "Virgo TV" business name + start trademark
You raised it on the call: "Do we own Virgo TV?" That question has no answer yet. This is step zero — nothing else can be fully locked until this is done.
Owner: Lorenzo
2
Send Rod the full Virgo TV tech rundown doc
Your direct action item from last night. He asked for the "under the hood" blueprint for the team structure + ops. Send before 1:30pm today if possible.
Owner: Mike (you)
3
Apple + Google developer accounts — start now
Requires business license + D&B number. Apple ~1 week for developer account approval. Google ~48 hours. Once approved, send back to Mike for app submission. Send the requirements checklist to Lorenzo + Dharmic today.
Owner: Lorenzo + Dharmic (Mike sends checklist)
4
Call Square — pre-alert for large transaction volume
If we launch with zero history and spike immediately, Square will hold funds. Get on the phone, tell them what's coming, get it documented. Must happen before going live.
Owner: Mike + Lorenzo
5
Lock in the content quarterback
Dharmic is the leading candidate per Lorenzo on the call. This is the single most important non-tech hire — Rod's exact words: "We need a director, somebody who done it, who got experience." Dharmic also has names in the talent booking network to start outreach.
Owner: Lorenzo + Dharmic
6
Research Hermes
Your personal action item from the call — multiple people are talking about it, seen on TikTok. Look into what it is and whether it's relevant to the platform.
Owner: Mike (you)
7
UI/UX redesign — network architecture
4-pillar navigation. Genre columns on-demand. Demographic channel structure for live TV. Engage UX designer — Rod called this out explicitly.
8
Move to cloud infrastructure
Push from home server to AWS + Cloudflare. Activate GPU transcoding. Lock down all exposed ports. Go live with real Stripe keys. Starting cost: $5–7.5K/month.
9
Content loading — feed the beast
Content director onboards first 6–7 shows + podcasts. Rod's deals (Baddies, Carl Jones, Josh's show) imported via admin portal. Platform must look like a running network before Rod's June event hits.
